Position: Associate Accountant

Location: Andover, MA (on-site Monday-Friday)

Pay: Hourly

Who We’re Looking For:  We're seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. You should be comfortable working with financial statements, reconciliations, and general ledger entries, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and proficiency in accounting software are essential. What You’ll Do:

Keeping up with a month end close checklist, including but not limited to:

·       Performing analysis and creating journal entries

·       Reviewing financial statements and posting correcting entries

·       Completing account balance reconciliations (cash, accounts receivable, etc.)

·       Researching and allocating expenses to the appropriate accounts.

·       Processing expense reports

·       Recording journal entries related to payroll

·       Entering payrolls weekly and biweekly into General Ledger

·       Updating cash transactions in General Ledger on regular basis

·       Ad hoc projects and assignments as needed

 

Job requirements

 Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in the Accounting field and/or education experience preferred

  • Degree in Accounting or significant classical accounting experience (Journal Entries, Recons, Trial Balances, Financial Statements)

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask written and verbal communication skills; professionalism is key

  • Experience with Accounting platforms (Great Plains) and prior experience using ADP/ Workforce-Now preferred
