Position: Associate Human Resources Generalist (Entry Level)
Location: Andover, MA (on-site Monday - Friday)
Pay: Hourly

What You'll Do:
Administers employee health and welfare plans company wide. Benefit programs include medical/dental/vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, workers' compensation, leave of absence, Flexible Spending (Section 125), etc.
Acts as liaison between employee, insurance providers and to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
Manages annual open enrollment period including distribution of materials from carriers, communicating changes to employees and arranges for on-site representation by benefits broker.
Processes changes within deadlines.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Serves as the Cobra liaison for 3rd Party Administrator.
Ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
Counsel employees (and potential employees/applicants) on plan provisions so that individuals can make informed benefit decisions.
Provides administrative support to human resources function as needed (e.g. correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry).
Manage onboarding for the Andover office, and coordinate with the office administration at the other BDN offices to ensure proper onboarding procedures are followed, including I-9 verification, profile setup in the HRIS (ADP Workforce Now).
Performs other HR generalist duties as assigned.

Job requirements
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in the HR field and/or education experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask written and verbal communication skills; professionalism is key
experience with HRIS platforms. Prior experience using ADP/ Workforce-Now preferred
Expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
